The Queen of Bass Fishing In America

I was in St. Louis visiting friends. There was a picture in the back of the sports section of a woman holding a large fish. “That’s the Queen of Bass Fishing in America,” I told them. Things got more interesting from there. The story originally appeared in The Timber Creek Review. It was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2008 and recognized for Special Mention in the 2010 Pushcart edition. The story was reprinted in the March 2021 edition of Coastal Shelf.
